On February 9th, Rawy Film Collective will show three more short films from the SWANA (Southwest Asia and North Africa)-Region at Wolf Kino. In February, the special focus will be on Egypt and the processes by which its long history still affects modern life.
There will be a surreal meeting between the Sphinx of Giza and the conqueror Napoleon Bonaparte, as well as the story of a young boy trying to stop his best friend r´from moving away, and the relocation of a statue of Pharaoh Ramses, which is symbolic for the changed balance of power in post-Mubarak Egypt.
Films start at 7pm and are being shown with english subtitles. After the screening there will be a Q&A.
